Chocolatey Wins The Just For Pleasure!
Chocolatey once again proved his talent as he was the only colored Appaloosa to enter, and subsequently win the Intermediate Open 2 y/o class at this very tough NSBA event! Much to the delight of the spectators, Harry got the winners J4Pleasure Blue ribbon and sought the respect of all who watched. It was another super win for the Appaloosas and for Harry himself.

Chocolatey wins OPEN NSBA Double Your Pleasure Futurity in Canada
02:23pm PDT, 25 Sep 2007
I am excited to tell you that Chocolatey has done the
Appaloosa horse proud today, and is now a 3 Time NSBA Open 2 year
old western pleasure champion. He's added a Canadian championship to
his Southern Belle and Reichert wins. Winning in Canada made his
trainer Pat Heeley very proud and we were happy to have been witness
to it. He was the only colored horse out there vying for the 2 year
old open title, purse monies, and memorial trophy.
I have to say its a sight I'll not soon forget to witness that blanketed stud
lead the line up 1st under both judges with the sorrels and bays
behind him. No one can miss that he is all appaloosa and we heard
many talk of getting back into apps again. People came right up to us
and inquired on the club, how much $ Chocolateys won, what our
breeding plans were, and apps in general.
Many were previous appaloosa show people that left for Qtrs years ago. I told them its a great organization now, with talented stock and incentive classes,
payouts, etc. I mentioned to those I spoke with to try us again, as
with all the new colored class slots and nsba color incentive money,
it pays to have a colored horse on your trailer.
Anyway, Chocolatey caused a stir and I even heard people seem to know
him and say, Oh thats Chocolatey. Needless to say, we were humbled by
our own horse and his ability to show off his Appaloosa style.
Im grateful to own him, and I myself am in awe when he lines them up
behind him. Its like he knows he has more than a class to win, he
knows he's representing his breed, and he gives it all he has.
